So why the eponymous nuthatch? There are reasons...

First, to paraphrase Lewis Carroll: we're all a little mad here.

Second, some musicians in the same genre, whom we greatly admire, market their CD's under the label "Nightwatch Recording".

Seriously, check them out. You'll be glad you did.

But third and most importantly: we just love the little guys.

A feeding-station hangs just outside the window of our studio, to which a nesting pair of White-Breasted Nuthatches are frequent visitors. They're handsome, clever, funny, and provide us with comic relief while we work on bringing you music.

It seemed an omen of sorts. When the time came to choose a mascot, we didn't have to look very far.
